Prepare and verify outgoing and incoming shipments, maintain inventory and shipping supplies, and ensure compliance with quality management standards.
Ability to accurately count, weigh, and verify shipments, prepare invoices, manage inventory, and maintain shipping area organization.
Outgoing Shipments (Shipping) Prepare outgoing shipments by counting, weighing, and verifying against packing slips, purchase orders, and job folders, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. Assemble or select appropriate shipping containers and package materials/products with protective padding in accordance with company procedures to ensure safe delivery. Label and tag products per customer requirements, including affixing shipping labels with customer purchase order references. Prepare invoices for parts prior to shipment. Coordinate with the Production Planning to ensure timely shipment of parts as scheduled. Incoming Shipments (Receiving) Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices with focus on accuracy, efficiency, and time management. Match and close purchase orders for received shipments. Distribute received items to the designated person or area as indicated on the purchase order or shop packet. Log received items accurately into the inventory management system. Conduct inventory counts and report any discrepancies. General Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities Monitor inventory of shipping supplies/materials and restock according to company procedure. Assist in resolving shipping and receiving issues, including invoice reconciliation with the Accounts Department. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the shipping and receiving area. Responsible for conforming with the companys quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.
