Role Summary Powertek USA LLC is seeking an Energy & Utility Market Research Analyst to conduct deep research on industry trends, technologies, customer ecosystems, and market potential. The analyst will support strategic planning, business case development, and market-driven decision-making across multiple energy and infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Conduct research on energy markets, utility operations, policy environments, and emerging technologies. • Map the customer decision-making ecosystem and identify key influencers, stakeholders, and adoption drivers. • Analyze total addressable market (TAM), serviceable market (SAM), and realistic opportunity sizing (SOM). • Evaluate technology outlooks, competitive dynamics, and market readiness. • Prepare market intelligence reports, dashboards, and insights summaries. • Synthesize large datasets and multiple information sources into concise, actionable insights. • Support business case development and strategic planning with data-backed findings. • Track policy developments, regulatory frameworks, and economic trends impacting the sector. Qualifications • 5–10 years of experience in market research, energy research, strategy, or consulting. • Strong knowledge of energy technologies, utility markets, regulatory structures, or emerging clean-tech trends. • Ability to work with complex datasets and research from multiple sources (industry reports, regulatory filings, databases). • Excellent analytical skills and structured thinking. • Strong writing and presentation capabilities. • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Energy Policy, or related field preferred. Soft Skills • Curious and research-focused mindset. • Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities. • Strong communication skills to simplify complex findings. • Detail-oriented with strong synthesis and pattern-recognition skills.
