Point C is a National third-party administrator (TPA) with local market presence that delivers customized self-funded benefit programs. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a COBRA Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) regulations, managing benefits administration, and assisting employees and former employees with COBRA-related inquiries. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of COBRA laws and regulations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Primary Responsibilities: • Administer and manage COBRA benefits for eligible employees and their dependents, including processing qualifying events (e.g., terminations, reductions in hours, divorce, etc.) and ensuring timely notifications. • Communicate with former employees regarding their COBRA options, benefits, enrollment, and payment processes. • Maintain accurate COBRA records, including enrollment forms, payment records, and compliance documentation. • Handle COBRA inquiries from employees, former employees, and dependents regarding eligibility, coverage options, and payment issues. • Work closely with HR and Benefits teams to track changes in employee status and ensure timely benefit continuation for eligible individuals. • Prepare and distribute COBRA notices and election forms in accordance with regulatory deadlines. • Assist with the reconciliation of COBRA premiums and billing discrepancies. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred. • Previous experience in COBRA administration or benefits management is highly preferred. • In-depth knowledge of COBRA laws, regulations, and procedures. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and benefits administration software. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Customer service-oriented with the ability to resolve issues professionally and effectively. • Familiarity with benefits administration platforms or COBRA management software is preferred. • Knowledge of additional benefits regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FMLA, ACA) is preferred. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
