There are many companies with a mission. We are a mission with a company. Point C is seeking an enthusiastic Associate EDI Engineer to support our healthcare EDI team. This entry-to-mid-level role is ideal for someone with foundational EDI and technical skills who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to mission-critical healthcare data exchange projects. You will assist in implementing EDI solutions, configuring trading partner connections, and supporting automation initiatives under the guidance of senior developers. Primary Responsibilities Assist in implementing and configuring EDI solutions for healthcare transactions (837, 834, 835, 278) Help set up and maintain eligibility feeds between health plans and trading partners Learn to work with X12 documentation and standards to ensure compliant data exchange Support troubleshooting of EDI transmission and data mapping issues Develop basic automation scripts using JavaScript and SQL Assist in creating database queries, stored procedures, and validation scripts Participate in testing, go-live activities, and documentation Qualifications 1–2 years of experience with healthcare EDI formats and/or X12 transaction sets, or equivalent coursework/internship experience Basic understanding of healthcare insurance workflows and claims data Familiarity with JavaScript and SQL; exposure to C# a plus Ability to learn EDI mapping, transformation, and integration concepts Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Experience with version control systems (Git) (preferred) Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security (preferred) Exposure to file processing, automation, or ETL processes (preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred) Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
