Description: PLK Communities is an owner and manager of residential apartment communities. Currently, we are in search of a skilled part-time Maintenance Technician who can work 16 hours per week. Responsibilities and Duties The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff: • Perform any and all property maintenance needs • Prepare apartments for new residents • Completes work orders • Basic Carpentry • Plumbing • Electrical Systems • Mechanical Systems • Small Appliance Repair • Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas • HVAC service and repair (willing to train) • Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash Benefit Summary • 401(k) with 4% employer match • Paid vacation and holidays • Paid company events • Paid community volunteering • Referral bonus • Rent discount potential • Quarterly bonus opportunity • Annual bonus opportunity Requirements: • Maintenance or "handyman" experience • Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plus • Valid driver's license • Reliable transportation • Tools (hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multi meter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, flashlight) • Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation
