Full Description

Lead Driver, Shipping Center Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM As a Shipping Center Lead Driver, you’ll be both a hands-on driver and an on-site leader at our Nashville depot. You’ll run a daily delivery route while supporting and coaching a team of drivers to ensure safe, on-time, and accurate deliveries. This position plays a critical role in maintaining performance standards, safety, and communication between the local team and the Shipping Center Supervisor. The Lead Driver also serves as the primary point of contact (POC) at the depot, coordinating with management and approved vendors to schedule vehicle service appointments. You’ll help keep operations running smoothly by setting the example in professionalism, accuracy, and teamwork every day. What You’ll Do Drive a daily assigned route, delivering parts safely and efficiently. Support and lead a small team of delivery drivers to meet performance goals. Conduct daily huddles and communicate service priorities and safety reminders. Verify loading accuracy, monitor route completion, and reconcile daily receipts. Report and resolve delivery or safety issues quickly and effectively. Schedule vehicles for service with approved vendors and ensure they remain in good condition. Maintain professional standards for appearance, communication, and teamwork. What You’ll Bring 3–5 years of experience in transportation or final-mile delivery. Leadership experience training, mentoring, or managing others. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
