PMI is a global company with extensive manufacturing operations in Montgomeryville PA USA, India, and Singapore (this position is for the Montgomeryville PA USA location) Position Overview: PMI Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead and support advanced manufacturing initiatives, including cost estimation, process optimization, and continuous improvement for precision-machined components and assemblies. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong foundation in manufacturing processes and a passion for driving efficiency and quality in a dynamic production environment. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the preparation of labor, material, and processing estimates for complex CNC machined and assembled components. • Analyze customer blueprints, specifications, and CAD models to determine optimal manufacturing methods and cost drivers. • Develop and refine manufacturing process flows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, and supply chain) to support new product introductions and design for manufacturability (DFM). • Interface with customers and cross-functional teams during RFQ and quote-related activities to gather technical requirements, clarify specifications, and support accurate cost estimation. • Evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation, tooling improvements, and process controls. • Conduct time studies and capacity analysis to support accurate labor costing and production planning. • Support ERP system enhancements related to manufacturing data, routings, and BOM accuracy. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred). • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in aerospace or semiconductor industries. • Strong understanding of CNC machining, precision manufacturing, and assembly processes. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and GD&T. • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) and ERP systems. • Demonstrated experience in cost estimation, process development, and continuous improvement. • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. • Familiarity with AS9100 standards and quality systems.
