Sales Assistant & Logistics Coordinator (Japanese Bilingual) Location: Fully Remote (Candidates may be based in New York, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, New Hampshire, Ohio, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming) Working Hours : 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM/EST Employment Type: Full-Time A global chemical manufacturer and distributor is seeking a highly organized Sales Assistant & Logistics Coordinator to support daily commercial and operational activities. This position is responsible for assisting various company activities, such as sales support, customer support, inventory management, logistics coordination as well as assisting management and senior staff as needed. The ideal candidate have the Experience in purchasing, ordering and inventory management is highly preferred. Responsibilities/Duties: Sales & Customer Support • Support outside sales staff by entering orders, providing delivery updates, preparing quotes, and assisting with pricing. • Maintain strong communication with customers to address inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a high level of service. • Assist with opening new customer accounts and managing client documentation. Logistics & Inventory Coordination • Coordinate purchasing activities and manage raw material inventory levels. • Arrange logistics between processing companies and customers, including confirming prices, quality requirements, quantities, and shipping schedules. • Work with outside vendors to ensure timely transportation and smooth delivery of products. Administrative & Accounting Support • Prepare AP/AR documents for the accounting department; monitor overdue payments and communicate with customers as needed. • Perform light invoice processing and record keeping. • Communicate regularly with Japanese headquarters. • Support senior staff with general administrative duties as required. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in sales assistance, logistics coordination, purchasing, inventory control, or a similar role is required. • Business-level Japanese language skills highly preferred (spoken & written). • Experience with inventory management or purchasing strongly preferred. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to learn and use internal software systems. • Prior customer service or inside sales support experience is a plus. • Comfortable working in small teams and collaborating remotely.
