Job Title Business Development Senior Manager Reports to Development and Marketing Director FLSA / WAGE Exempt/$65,875.25-$71,145.27 Original Date: October 2022 Revised: May 2024 JOB SUMMARY The Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting growth in mental health, addiction, and housing-focused services. This includes identifying new referral sources, strengthening existing referral sources, and expanding community awareness of Park Center’s services. The BD Manager will serve as an ambassador of Park Center to health providers, nonprofits, and other stakeholders who find value in partnering with Park Center and its array of mental health, addiction, and housing-focused services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Strategic Vision and Leadership 1. Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Program Officer, Chief Housing Officer, and program Directors to implement business development strategies that will generate growth and increase referrals to Park Center’s services. 2. Under the direction of the Development Director, assist in development of communications and marketing plans that target key audiences, enhance engagement across platforms, and expand community awareness of programs and services. 3. Manages projects or teams within dept/program and day to day activities of team members. 4. Oversees project execution and team performance. * Business Development 1. Develop and sustain relationships with community referral sources to ensure growth in the agency’s programs. 2. Assist Director of Development with department needs including social media posts, agency event planning, etc. 3. Provide key information (including eligibility criteria, intake process, goals of services, etc.) to key referral sources in Davidson County. 4. Identify underserved geographic areas and populations in the county for outreach and inclusion. 5. Identify potential referral sources and reach out proactively to communicate the value of Park Center’s services. 6. Identify service gaps in the community and bring ideas for program development to the Senior Leadership Team. 7. Assist in the development of marketing materials for program collateral, flyers, annual publications, leave-behinds, and other materials that keep Park Center’s services on the radar of frontline staff in the community. 8. Visit healthcare providers, housing providers, and other service providers and become known as a helpful ambassador of Park Center to the community. * Value cultural competence and diversity 1. Collaborate with staff, members, and the community to gain the perspectives of others having diverse opinions, abilities, values, beliefs, perspectives, and ethnic or cultural backgrounds. 2. Take deliberate steps to increase own cultural competency by attending trainings, events, discussions, workshops, etc. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Passion for mental health, addiction recovery, and housing-focused services. * Bachelor’s degree required. * 3 years’ experience in a Park Center management role or 4 years management experience in a similar role. Demonstrated ability to cultivate stakeholder relationships and produce outcomes. * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Passion for collaboration and ability to work with other staff and departments to achieve a shared vision. * Ability to implement high-level strategic plans. * Professionalism and ability to represent Park Center effectively in the community. * Excellent computer skills with the ability to utilize spreadsheets, presentations, and word-processing tools. * Experience working with CRM software preferred. * Leadership: inspire and motivate teams. * Communication: provide clear direction, active listening, conflict resolution, and the ability to influence varied audiences. * Problem-solving: find creative and practical solutions to overcome challenges. * Time management: prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, delegate as appropriate, and consistently meet deadlines. * Adaptability: navigate change and be flexible. WORKING CONDITIONS This job operates in a professional office environment with remote office flexibility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear.
