Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Orgill is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee and direct all aspects of the organization's payroll function. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely employee payments while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, along with managing a payroll team and system. Responsibilities • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, including collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data. • Ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, and other compensation. • Administer deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings. • Partner with Talent Acquisition in the processing of new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employee status changes in the payroll system. • Coordinate with the Human Resources (HR) and Finance departments to ensure seamless data integration. • Stay up-to-date on all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor laws. • Ensure compliance with all legal and internal policies. • Prepare and file all required payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and other regulatory submissions. • Administer and maintain the payroll system, ensuring data integrity and security. • Identify and recommend updates or enhancements to payroll processing software and procedures. • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues. • Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems. • Supervise, train, and mentor the payroll team (clerks, administrators, etc.). • Plan, prioritize, and assign work to ensure deadlines are met. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development for team members. • Recruit, interview, and onboard new payroll staff as needed. • Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries from employees. • Provide excellent customer service and resolve employee issues promptly and accurately. • Maintain confidentiality and data security for all payroll information. • Communicate with employees regarding payroll policies, changes, and updates. Skills • Bachelor's degree in related field • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a senior payroll role, typically with 5+ years of experience. • Experience managing or supervising a team. • Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing. • Master’s Degree • A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred. • UKG Experience Company Overview • Orgill, Inc. is an independently owned hardlines distributor.
