Job Title: Director, Reinsurance Accounting Location: Remote Industry: Property & Casualty Insurance Our esteemed client, a prominent player in the Insurance industry, is actively seeking a seasoned professional to join their dynamic team as the Director of Reinsurance Accounting focusing on both Ceded and Assumed Reinsurance. The Director of Reinsurance Accounting leads the strategic and day-to-day management of the company’s reinsurance accounting function, ensuring all ceded and assumed reinsurance activity is accurate, reliable, and transparent. This role is responsible for timely and thorough financial reporting, adherence to GAAP and statutory requirements, and strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Role & Responsibilities Responsibilities As the Director of Reinsurance Accounting, the selected candidate will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: • Leading the preparation and analysis of both assumed and ceded reinsurance accounts. • Ensuring compliance with international financial reporting standards relevant to reinsurance activities. • Coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to manage reinsurance treaties and agreements. • Implementing robust financial controls and processes to mitigate risks associated with reinsurance transactions. • Driving the strategic planning and decision-making processes concerning reinsurance accounting practices. • Providing leadership and mentorship to the reinsurance accounting team.
