This position is ideal for someone looking to build experience in both bookkeeping and customer service within a mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities • Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions using our bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar). • Process accounts payable and receivable, issue invoices, and track payments. • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of financial activity. • Assist with preparing financial reports for management and compiling supporting documentation as needed. • Help monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounts or transaction data. • Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, or chat in a courteous and helpful manner. • Assist with routine administrative and clerical duties, including data entry and filing. • Support customer billing questions, account updates, and resolve basic issues or escalate as required. • Contribute to process improvements and support other team needs as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant coursework in accounting, finance, or business a plus. • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles and general office procedures. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and comfortable learning new software. • Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively. • Previous experience in bookkeeping, retail, or customer service is a plus but not required.
