Operate production line equipment, ensure safety and quality standards, maintain materials and supplies, and assist in training other operators.
High school diploma, basic operator knowledge, preferably 1 year manufacturing experience, and ability to follow safety and quality procedures.
Shift: • Back End Days • Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 12hr shifts. Wednesday - optional. • 4:45 AM - 5:15 PM Essential Functions: • Responsible for the manufacturing of products and ensuring that safety and quality standards are consistently met. • Follows instructions given by the assigned line lead, Production Lead, and Production Manager. • Monitors material levels, can locate staged materials and retrieve materials. • Loads materials into the production line (cups, lids, foils), and keeps an accurate count of supplies on hand. · Understands how to build pallets according to the packaging size. · Possesses a basic understanding of the Red Zone system and can use it to create action items, enter ideas, and to conduct huddle meetings. • Maintains a safe and clean environment for all employees and visitors. Ensures all safety rules, plant rules, GMP, and code of ethics are followed by employees, customers, and visitors at all times. • Knows when to use the right kind of PPE. · Can complete a thorough CIP and deep clean. • Attends required pre shift meetings. Can clearly communicate issues with the production lines to other Operators and shifts. · Must be willing and able to assist in the training of all Production Operator positions. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: · This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Required Skills and Abilities: · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Knows all safety, quality, and Company practices and policies. · Ability to operate or to quickly learn the production equipment. · Ability to occasionally work hands on with packaging equipment to relieve employees/ troubleshoot problems. Education and Experience: · Required – High school diploma. Possesses all Operator level knowledge. · Preferred – 1 Year manufacturing experience. Working Conditions and Physical Demands: · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance; and talk or hear. · The employee will frequently be required reach with hands, arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. · The employee will need to taste and smell the products to assure quality. · Occasionally the employee will be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds. · The noise level in the work environment is loud due to the production equipment, and hearing protection is required. · The production area’s temperature can fluctuate. Conditions can be cold and wet at times, or hot and humid. · Prolonged periods of standing.
