Restaurant Manager – Mexican Restaurant (Bilingual Spanish Required) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at our Mexican restaurant. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish, have strong leadership skills, and possess a deep understanding of Mexican cuisine, culture, and hospitality. This role focuses on ensuring excellent guest experiences, staff coordination, and smooth day-to-day operations. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Operational Management • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures. • Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet brand standards. • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Staff Leadership • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff. • Conduct team meetings and provide coaching and performance feedback. • Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees and guests. Customer Service • Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and hospitality. • Ensure fast, friendly, and culturally engaging service. • Build strong relationships with regular guests and community members. Financial & Administrative • Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and cost control. • Track sales, labor, and performance metrics; provide reports to ownership. • Manage payroll, vendor communication, and supply ordering. Marketing & Culture • Support promotions, holiday events, and cultural celebrations (e.g., Día de los Muertos, Posadas). • Ensure the restaurant atmosphere reflects authentic Mexican culture and hospitality. Qualifications • Fluent in Spanish and English (required). • 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience (Mexican/Latin cuisine preferred). • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Customer-service focused with a passion for Mexican food and culture. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for long periods. • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
