NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking an DBRE to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is an remote, contract position. SALARY: $50-$60/hr (depending on experience) Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE). • Strong expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management. • Proficient in administering SQL Server and MySQL databases. • Hands-on experience with both database automation and administration. • Skilled in implementing and maintaining database security, integrity, and performance optimization. • Proven ability to design data models, manage replication, troubleshoot performance issues, and support development teams. Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases (2012–2022) and Azure SQL environments. • Optimize performance, automate maintenance, and implement security, backup, and DR procedures. • Support on-prem to cloud migrations and manage high availability, SSAS/SSIS/SSRS solutions, and indexing. • Collaborate with DevOps to streamline deployments using IaC and CI/CD pipelines. • Develop and enforce database standards, documentation, and failover runbooks. • Provide on-call support and performance guidance to developers and cross-functional teams.
