Requiring extensive knowledge of all departmental processes, the SVP of Servicing will manage a team that supports the mortgage loan servicing functions ensuring all documents are accurate and complete adhering to financial institution policies and procedures, investor requirements, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities • Manages, monitors, and has complete oversight of all aspects of loan servicing operations for retained loans (into the servicing portfolio). This includes but is not limited to escrow management; taxes & insurance analysis for the entire retained servicing portfolio; monitors potential repurchases and scratch & dent sales; payment remittances to sub-servicer; EPD’s and EPO’s; payoff requests; annual form 1098 issuances. • Servicing subject matter expert for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae (retained) loans servicing in compliance with GSE’s respective servicing guidelines • Oversight of all boarded loans, using an interface from LOS to the sub-servicer platform. • Manages, monitors, and has complete oversight of all aspects of released, interim loan servicing operations. • Develop standard operating procedures and ensure that they are followed. • Provide smooth, consistent, continuous, ongoing, efficient, effective, quality, and professional functioning of the department, supporting the lending activities of the Bank. • Makes recommendations for improvement so that project/department milestones/goals are met and in adherence to approved budgets. • Manages day-to-day Servicing Team dynamics by identifying potential areas of vulnerability and risk. • Develops/Implements corrective action plans for the resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on avoiding future occurrences. • Monitors and manages third-party relationships and operations with sub-servicers to ensure Servicing Agreements are followed as expressed for the benefit of the company. • Evaluates processes performed by sub-servicers for improvement to reduce business risk and to ensure the overall business model operates to its fullest capability and functionality. • Develops and utilizes exception reporting to identify problem areas and improve departmental performance. • Maintains knowledge of current Servicing Compliance Regulations to include Fannie Mae loan servicing, Freddie Mac loan servicing, Ginnie Mae loan servicing, CFPB, Foreclosure, Loss Mitigation, and Claims Procedures, especially as it relates to HUD. • Performs and/or participates in scheduled Sub-Servicing site visits. • Reviews all Servicing Operational processes & QA processes for additional technology enhancements to streamline workflow. • Hires and trains new staff members and develops team members utilizing internal and external training resources. • Provides data needed for state, federal, and third-party audits related to servicing activities. • Provides feedback and trends from QC results and reporting through counterparty scorecards. • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested. Required Experience/Skills: • Must be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment • Results-driven with strong analytical skills and exceptional problem-solving skills • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and customer service skills • Strong organizational skills are a must, with the ability to prioritize meeting deadlines and manage multiple projects • Ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making • Microsoft Office Applications proficiency is required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in loan servicing required • Familiarity with servicing software and electronic reporting processes • 3+ years of management/supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead others effectively • Thorough working knowledge of loan servicing requirements for investors, regulatory, and agency requirements • Firm comprehension of loan servicing guidelines, procedures, restrictions, reporting requirements, etc. Nationwide Mortgage Bankers, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
