Help us maintain a clean and safe environment for animals at the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo! PLEASE NOTE: This is a seasonal position for the month of January 2026. Individuals in this role will be required to work every day January 10th-January 25th, up to 12 hours per day. Additional work may be available the week following Stock Show, January 26th-January 31st. Overview As a seasonal Stall Cleaner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of stalls where livestock and horses are housed for performances taking place in the Denver Coliseum. Responsibilities include removing waste, replenishing bedding materials, and maintaining a safe and hygienic space for animals and people alike. The ideal candidate for this position is a diligent and reliable individual who enjoys physical work and takes pride in keeping facilities clean and safe. Reports to: Event Operations Manager, Assistant Managers Duties & Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize stalls where livestock and horses are kept before and after performances, ensuring stalls meet sanitation standards. • Remove waste and old bedding materials, replenish stalls with fresh bedding, and perform thorough clean-ups as needed. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines for handling livestock waste. • Work both indoors and outside as well as around livestock. • Assist the Rodeo and Event Operations teams with additional tasks as requested. Desired Experience, Skills, & Abilities • Comfortable with physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. • Familiarity with livestock or large animals is preferred but not required. • Candidates must be available for early mornings, late nights, and weekends throughout the 16 days of Stock Show (January 10th-January 25th), with shifts up to 12 hours per day. • Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas. • Fluent in English with clear communication abilities; bilingual skills are a plus. • Proactive in following safety protocols for handling waste and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Working Conditions National Western Complex is a multi-purpose indoor and outdoor commercial and agricultural complex where dusty conditions and animals may exist. While performing the duties of this job, work is performed both indoors and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied surfaces. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with large crowds. Compensation & Benefits • This is a seasonal, hourly position with a pay rate of $19.80/hour. • Paid sick time offered at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
