Monitor shipments, communicate with carriers and customers, support logistics coordinators with freight rates and shipment issues, and maintain data integrity.
Associate degree or 2+ years logistics experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to support various logistics functions.
The Logistics Support role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of operations after orders are dispatched. You’ll be responsible for tracking shipments in transit, providing timely updates, and assisting the Logistics Coordinators with a wide range of tasks—from managing tracking events to sourcing freight rates. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to take initiative to keep things moving efficiently. Job Duties • Monitor shipments using the Transportation Management System (TMS) and follow up with carriers to confirm tracking events. • Respond to requests for estimated delivery times and status updates. • Communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal team members while striving to exceed total service expectations. • Support Logistics Coordinators with various tasks including quoting freight rates and resolving shipment issues. • Take initiative to identify potential issues and collaborate with the team to find timely solutions. • Maintain data integrity including but not limited to pick up information, delivery information, appointment times. Desired Skills And Experience • Associate’s degree, completion of college-level coursework, or a minimum of two (2) years of logistics-related work experience preferred. • Logistic industry experience preferred • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize work, communicate effectively with others in person and over the phone • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions. • Willingness to rotate within the logistics department and perform various training and support functions to support the team • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Focused on driving innovation and efficiency by continuously improving logistics operations and procedures.
