Full Description

We are looking for a competent Billing Specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. You will also second as the front Office Manager, overseeing the operations of the front desk and its staff. This is a small, busy medical practice looking for the right candidate. We are looking for a team player with a professional and positive attitude. Pay is negotiable upon interview. Qualifications: Experience in medical billing/coding required Experience with Quickbooks is a plus, but not a must Experience as an office manager in a medical practice or similar setting required Experience with Microsoft word and Excel required Familiarity with EMR/EHR programs, prefer experienced with eClinicalWorks Strong interpersonal (people skills) and great organization habits, as well as administrative skills to succeed at this job Excellent leading and communication skills Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Billing • The Billing Specialist is responsible for daily accounts receivable collections and billing • Review claim issues, make corrections as needed, and rebill • Utilize claims clearing house to review and correct claims and to resubmit electronically • Review explanation of benefits to ascertain that claim proceed and paid correctly • Complete adjustment forms and attach all support documentation • Manage daily productivity • Respond to billing inquiries to internal and external customers while providing exceptional customer service • Understanding eligibility and benefit information related to CPT, HCPCS and ICD10 • Create billing and processes Invoices and Statements in a timely fashion Office Manager • The Practice Manager is responsible for managing and directing the practices overall operations and facilities management • Address issues raised by the physicians, employees, and patients, seeking solutions and implementing improvements • You will manage staff performance including supervising, coaching/counseling front office and clinical staff daily and interviewing, hiring, and training new front office staff • Serve as a liaison between practice physicians and office employees, and between the practice and other clinical and administrative areas • Perform and oversee scheduling, recruitment and payroll • Possess knowledge of company personnel policies and benefits • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the office • Greeting patients and ensuring they are processed and attended to. Ensuring the reception area is clean and welcoming • Resolve escalating office related issues to provide high quality service to patients • Able to use EMR, Microsoft Office, computer software and office equipment (fax machines, copiers, etc.) • Stocking and maintaining office supplies • perform tasks that require interactions with patients, doctors, and insurance companies but also work behind the scenes • Help the Dr. with small tasks and questions regarding patient accounts and office operations. This candidate must maintain a professional appearance and attitude. They also must have a team effort attitude, as this is very important in this office. This is a small, busy, and growing practice, so there may be times that the front desk receptionists may need help with answering phones and assisting patients. Please note: This job does not offer medical benefits or 401k. We only offer paid time off. Shift Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs 7:30am-4:00pm, Wed 7:30am-3:30pm, Fri 7:30am-12:00pm (hours may vary depending on the patient schedule) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Paid time off Work Location: In person
