Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a purchasing role, with 2-5 years in the wine industry. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

As our Senior Wine Buying Manager, you’ll work hand-in-hand with talented winemakers, collaborate across our business, and help craft a range that delights customers and drives growth. You will be responsible for: Coordinating the annual buy plan process through great organisation and strong collaboration with the Planning, Merchandising & Retention team and Winemakers Negotiating cost prices and commercial terms of existing wines during annual buy plan, top-up purchasing and promotional campaigns Constantly looking for ways to optimise value for Naked customers through commercial opportunities Working with the Growth team to bring innovation and newness to the range by sourcing and introducing great value wines and winemakers Managing winemaker relationships to ensure we foster a community of engaged and informed winemakers Understand the needs of Naked, the customer and the winemaker and not afraid to have tough conversations to get good results Enabling commercial data accuracy and understanding and utilizing the Global PO system Managing any queries/challenges from suppliers You are: Able to build strong relationships with our winemakers Knowledgeable of the commercial levers when negotiating with winemakers A win win negotiator and able to hold your ground under pressure Hard-working and capable of managing your own time and workload effectively Fastidious about detail and accuracy Highly adaptable to frequently changing circumstances and shifting goals Able to manage competing priorities Able to handle and manipulate commercial data to inform your strategies and deliver targets Able and willing to travel to meet winemakers where they are at Our Interview Process We keep our process simple, transparent, and respectful of your time. Hiring Manager Interview (45 min) A deeper dive into your buying experience and philosophy with our Head of Wine Buying. Team Interviews (2–3 rounds) You’ll meet a mix of our Buying and Growth team members. These chats focus on how you build relationships, manage priorities, negotiate, and collaborate to bring great wines and great stories to life. Final Assessment (30 min) A short presentation using materials we’ll send you in advance. We want to see how you think about improving a part of our range—nothing tricksy, just a chance to show your approach. Bachelor degree required Proven experience (at least 2 years) in a purchasing role 2-5 years experience in the wine industry Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting market data and performance metrics. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to act quickly, strategically, and decisively in fast-changing, unpredictable situations Ability to plan and meet deadlines This is a hybrid position that is based in our Sonoma, CA office. Must be able to go into the office 2-3 days per week. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as required Must be at least 21 years of age Must be eligible on your own to work in the US to qualify.
