Support migration and ongoing operations of IT infrastructure including software procurement, configuration, disaster recovery, SQL Server administration, and vendor management while ensuring alignment with organizational and government standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This role will support the migration of servers, applications, and infrastructure to the Texas Data Center Services (DCS) program while managing ongoing system operations, including software procurement, licensing, configuration, disaster recovery, SQL Server administration, and network support. The position provides solution design, data analysis, reporting, project management assistance, and vendor management, serving as a key liaison between the agency and external providers. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, broad knowledge of IT architecture and emerging technologies, and the ability to guide teams, address service delivery issues, and ensure alignment with organizational standards and state government requirements. REQUIRED SKILLS • High level of sound logic and analytical ability difficult; • Highly developed oral and written communications skills; • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others motivate employee and elicit work output; • Ability to guide and advise less experienced business systems analysis personnel; • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to own organization; • Knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information, Applications, organizational structure, etc.; • Knowledge of emerging technologies (new to company systems as well as those that are new to the information systems industry); • Knowledge of tools, techniques and good practices for protecting the integrity of corporate data and associated processing, company technology practices, standards and procedures; • Familiarity with company's information architecture and information management methodologies; and • Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components. Ability to oversee and/or supervise the work of others.
