MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Facilities Maintenance & Training Manager to join our team at our Headquarters located in Farmington Hills, MI. This individual will travel to various job sites, ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and employee training on specialized equipment such as hydro blasters, high-pressure water blasters, and other cleaning equipment used in paint shop operations. Success in this position means minimizing equipment downtime, elevating employee competency, and supporting operational excellence across our Facility Service Group. When not traveling, this position will report to headquarters and support company-wide maintenance and training initiatives. Responsibilities And Job Duties • Diagnose and repair hydro blasters, high-pressure water blasters, paint shop tools, and other specialized cleaning equipment at various job sites. • Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. • Conduct on-site training sessions for employees on safe and efficient operation of hydro blasters, high-pressure water blasters, and other cleaning equipment. • Travel regularly to multiple job sites to provide technical support and training. • Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment-related issues at job sites. • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies during equipment operation and maintenance. • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. • Report progress, issues, and recommendations to the General Manager of Facility Service Group. • Collaborate with headquarters to align training programs and maintenance practices with company standards. Requirements And Qualifications • Minimum of two years of industry-related experience in facility services, industrial maintenance, or paint shop operations. • Strong technical troubleshooting skills. • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%). • Must be able to pass a background check. • Must be able to pass a drug test.
