Bachelor's degree or equivalent, two years of business analysis experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and preferred experience with Epic Systems and data visualization tools.
POSITION SUMMARY The Business Analyst works closely with departmental leadership to identify best solutions to complex problems. Serves as a lead collaborator between clinical/business stakeholders and the IT department. Analyzes and provides key insights across multiple departments and functions in the organization. Provides key thought partnership to departmental staff and leaders. Analyzes business needs, gathers information, forms frameworks for conveying information, and leverages information technology systems to serve the business. Provides advanced business specific knowledge in support of the organization, structures ambiguous problems and takes action to solve them. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Healthcare or equivalent area of study, or equivalent work experience in lieu of specific education. Experience: • Two years’ experience in business analysis or related field. • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office applications. • Epic Systems EHR experience is a plus • Prior experience with data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc., is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand and adapt to changes. • Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and objectives and work independently and with minimal supervision. • Ability to communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels with clarity and confidence. License/Certification/Registration: • None SUPERVISION RECEIVED Receives primary supervision from the Manager, Decision Support. SUPERVISION GIVEN None ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Communicates information and recommendations across audiences (inclusive of organizational leadership). • Participates in cross-functional projects involving clinical and operational data analysis. • Collaborates effectively across teams to move people and the organization to action. • Prioritizes initiatives based on business needs and requirements. • Has the capability to drive an independent work stream in the context of a broader project. • Analyzes, reports and provides key insight into pertinent metrics. • Collaborates with data architects and BI developers to build robust data models that support self-service analytics and reporting needs. • Monitors data pipeline integrity and proactively addresses data quality issues. • Creates and maintains organizational dashboards, monthly reports, and ad hoc analyses for internal and external stakeholders. • Structures ambiguous problems and takes actions to solve them • Prepares other reports as assigned to support departmental and organizational functions.
