The Group Sales Enablement & Learning sits within Morningstar’s Business Development and Sales group, which is responsible for helping our clients build their businesses and provide better outcomes for investors. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Sales Enablement & Learning, Sustainability, the Sales Enablement & Learning Program Manager will partner with stakeholders across the organization to develop, execute, and optimize training programs and enablement initiatives that drive sales effectiveness, confidence, and performance. The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Sales Enablement & Learning Program Manager for Indexes and Sustainability that is passionate about enablement and helping others succeed. This person will be an essential contributor to sales enablement and learning for our global Index and Sustainalytics Commercial teams with a focus on ensuring they have the client-facing skills, knowledge, and process expertise to be effective and efficient in their roles. The enablement program focuses on four key focus areas: industry awareness, product knowledge, client-facing skills, and sales/service operations. The Sales Enablement & Learning Program Manager will support client-facing teams who champion our innovative index solutions and services leveraged by market participants across the investment ecosystem. This role will grow individual capabilities and build organizational knowledge to elevate our team’s ability to expand and enhance the way they engage with clients, as well as provide support to increase our sustainable investing pipeline. This role is critical to ensure Morningstar maintains a competitive edge through training and readiness that support our client-facing teams. Applicants must be skilled at delivering engaging learning experiences that translate to measurable impact. Responsibilities Training Development & Delivery Facilitate and manage a full spectrum of training curriculum (including product, industry domain knowledge, and client-facing skills appropriate for each audience). This includes inventory of existing curriculum, identifying gaps, and developing needed content. Partner with senior leaders to identify overall training needs, specifically related to client relationships and sales goals. Establish evaluation metrics. Lead new product launches, significant methodology changes, go-to-market strategies, and enhancements to existing solutions and services, including cross-selling with other business units. Onboarding Act as a key stakeholder and facilitator in the design, development, and delivery of onboarding programs and coordination with managers on 30/60/90-day expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success Managers on account planning. Manage and facilitate coaching programs where appropriate and consult on best practices for effective employee development. Partner with product, marketing, and sales operations teams to create and facilitate learning programs in support of new product launches and/or GTMs. Communication & Knowledge Sharing Reinforce change management efforts with clear communication and support adoption of new processes and tools. Support sales meetings and training events such as on-sites and annual Sales Kickoffs. Learn and master the complexities of the industry that Morningstar Indexes and Sustainalytics serves. Maintain and create clear and organized resource and information repositories to amplify and ensure accessibility to enablement material for Index, Sustainalytics, and other Morningstar teams and businesses as necessary. Measurement & Reporting Define key enablement metrics alongside stakeholders and track engagement, adoption, and impact. Collaborate with sales operations and other business units to develop and maintain right-sized measurement practices; ensure transparency on the impact and efficacy of enablement programs and the business initiatives they support. Report on training program effectiveness and refine programs as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years in areas of focus: financial services, sustainable investing, sales, customer success, sales enablement, training, development, and coaching Proven ability delivering and facilitating training Experience working with global teams, including training and learning adaptations for regional differences; flexibility to work across time zones to support Americas, EMEA, and APAC A desire to work directly with individuals and in team environments Strong client focus and ability to quickly and effectively build and sustain relationships Experience with PowerPoint and understanding of enablement tools including but not limited to learning management system (i.e., Cornerstone), sales enablement platform software (i.e. Seismic), Gong, Spekit, and solid aptitude for learning new systems and tools Effective presentation skills to groups of all levels via virtual classroom and in person Personality and ability to engage and collaborate well across complex organizations including with the c-suite, sales/service managers, sellers, service reps, marketing, operations, and product management Passion and commitment for adult learning best practices and techniques Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels in the organization Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities Strong skills in MS Office and the ability to learn additional programs as needed Compensation and Benefits At Morningstar we believe people are at their best when they are at their healthiest.
