Counter Sales / Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Job Description Company Overview: The Belden Brick Sales Company, established in 1930, serves the Detroit market's face brick needs. Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Counter Sales / CSR role is to sell the company’s products and provide exceptional customer service to both walk-in and phone-in customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: • Customer Service: Provide excellent service to walk-in and phone-in customers to attract new business and enhance relationships with existing customers. • Order Coordination: Manage intra-company transfers and customer deliveries of masonry materials, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. • Sales Management: Work with customers to price and secure orders, following up diligently to ensure orders are completed satisfactorily. • Office Maintenance: Assist in maintaining sample boards, organizing storage, and ensuring general housekeeping of the office. • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s product offerings, promoting and selling related products as they are introduced. • Ethical Conduct: Conduct all business transactions and customer interactions with the highest ethical standards. • Asset Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of company assets as directed. • Communication: Provide customers with accurate and current information regarding pricing, product changes, lead times, and order status. Skills and Qualifications: • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational abilities. • Effective interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of masonry materials and related products is a plus. • Commitment to ethical business practices. Other Responsibilities: Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support company operations and customer satisfaction.
