Supports and guides nursing staff in daily operations. Assumes responsibility for the unit in absence of unit Manager. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions) • Monitors and maintains unit for regulatory compliance at all times, including such items as staffing levels, chart audits, environment of care, etc. • Assume patient care duties as needed. • Assists the manager by monitoring Kronos, adjusting schedules, editing timecards and assuming other duties of the Manager as needed. • Ensures patient satisfaction by rounding on patients and monitoring patient satisfaction scores. • Provides clinical oversight to assigned patient population to include staff's competency and assignments and scheduling training and development events. Qualifications Job Specific (Minimum Requirements) Knowledge, Skills And Abilities • Thorough knowledge of clinical assessment and medical equipment. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to multi-task. • Ability to effectively direct the work of others. Must have a positive attitude and be courteous, kind compassionate and caring.
