Medical Coder CPC® - Emergency Medicine or Hospitalist Professional Coding Location: Remote - Must reside in EST or CST time zones Job Type: Full-time | Contract Are you a newly certified CPC® or CPC-A® ready to take the next step in your medical coding career? Key Responsibilities • Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnoses, CPT® codes, and modifiers. • Maintain 95%+ coding accuracy and meet expected productivity targets. • Follow ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines and 2025-2026 E/M Documentation Guidelines. • Comply with HIPAA Security Rules, company policies, and coding department procedures. • Participate in continuing education to maintain coding credentials. • Perform additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications • CPC® or CPC-A® certification required. • 1–2 years of E/M coding experience or CPC-A® currently enrolled or completed AAPC Practicode course. • High School Diploma or GED. • Strong understanding of medical terminology. • Authorized to work in the United States. • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized. Home Office Requirements • Dedicated, private home office space. • Desktop or laptop computer (not shared). • Dual monitors required. • High-speed or fiber optic internet. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Proficient with a 10-key number pad.
