🏛️ Global Law Firm – Fully Remote but MUST be located in California A leading international law firm is seeking a Litigation Docketing Manager to oversee the daily operations of its docketing and calendaring function. This role supports a high-volume litigation practice and will manage a team responsible for reviewing filings, tracking deadlines, and maintaining accurate calendar systems across multiple jurisdictions. The position reports to senior leadership within the firm’s managing attorney group. Key Responsibilities • Lead and supervise a team of docketing professionals, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing training and support. • Manage the firm’s rules-based calendaring database and ensure all deadlines are entered accurately and in a timely manner. • Review incoming litigation filings and documents to identify critical dates and ensure they are properly recorded. • Oversee the intake, processing, and distribution of court notices and updates. • Run daily and weekly calendar reports and ensure attorneys and staff are informed of upcoming deadlines. • Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and internal stakeholders regarding scheduling requirements, procedural rules, and docketing inquiries. • Work closely with firm leadership to refine processes, maintain consistency across offices, and implement best practices. • Assist with knowledge management initiatives relating to litigation records, case tracking, and document workflows. • Conduct research using various court and docket databases and retrieve case information as needed. • Maintain attorney information related to bar admissions, e-filing access, and other credentials required for litigation work. • Ensure compliance with firm policies, department procedures, and court rules across all matters. Qualifications • Strong understanding of litigation docketing procedures, including state and federal court rules. • Significant experience reviewing court filings and identifying calendaring deadlines. • Ability to supervise staff in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining exceptional accuracy. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with attorneys and administrative teams. • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage shifting priorities. • Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and meet tight deadlines. • Proficiency with rules-based calendaring software and familiarity with common court databases. • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience Requirements • At least three years of experience in a litigation docketing or managing attorney office environment, ideally within a large or multi-office firm. • Prior experience supervising docketing staff strongly preferred. • Experience with federal, state, and local electronic filing systems and major legal research/docketing platforms. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technology systems.
