The Prep Cook is essential for tasks such as food preparation, portioning, storage, and presentation, all within a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications for Prep Cook: • A high school diploma or its comparable G.E.D. certificate is a prerequisite. • One year of related employment background is necessary. • Skill in following cooking directions accurately and presenting dishes as specified. • There is no need for prior experience in a supervisory position. • Capability to excel in independent tasks as well as in team-based endeavors. Responsibilities for Prep Cook: • Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, and storing food items properly. • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients following recipes and preparation checklists. • Cook food using various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and microwaves. • Prepare cold dishes and ensure consistent food presentation according to quality standards. • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; wear clean and proper uniform. • Collaborate with team members, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive work environment.
