JOB SUMMARY The Director, Procurement Quality Assurance will lead the transformation of quality assurance processes across Marriott’s US & Canada procurement function. This role serves as a strategic and operational bridge—ensuring QA is embedded in both current manual workflows and future technology-enabled systems. The Director will oversee the development and execution of QA frameworks, drive automation and innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate supplier performance, compliance, and process integrity. This leader will play a critical role in shaping the future-state vision for procurement QA, while maintaining hands-on accountability for current-state operations and continuous improvement CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related sector. • 10+ years of quality, procurement of operations experience. • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms. • Ability to travel up to 50%. Preferred • Advanced degree or MBA • Experience with tech-enabled procurement systems and automation tools. • Demonstrated ability to create strategy and implement change in a geographically dispersed and highly matrixed cross-disciplined environment. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES • Lead and own the quality assurance function across direct supplier relationships, ensuring consistent execution and compliance through both internal teams and third-party providers. • Drive planning, deployment, and continuous improvement of automation and AI-enabled QA tools to implement and drive compliance to established standards for food safety and quality. Streamline processes, reduce manual intervention, and enhance data accuracy. • Support vendor selection, evaluation and on-site vendor facility qualification procedures, ensuring alignment with enterprise procurement Code of Conduct and other procurement objectives. • Partner with category managers, business development, and IT to align QA standards with broader procurement goals. • Design, implement, and continuously enhance robust quality assurance frameworks that ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across all procurement activities. • Develop, implement and execute all product safety recall procedures and support root cause and corrective action planning in coordination with category managers. • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to automate QA processes, leveraging technology to reduce manual workload, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency. • Provide strategic input into the development and optimization of procure-to-pay systems, ensuring QA requirements are embedded into platform capabilities and workflows. • Operate as both a hands-on contributor in current-state procurement operations and a strategic leader shaping the future-state QA vision, roadmap, and transformation initiatives.
