Position name: Sr. Security Officer Facility name: Clearfield Job Corps Center Location: Clearfield, UT Benefit package includes: • Medical/health/dental/vision/life insurance • AD&D as well as long-term disability • 401(k) retirement plan  • Paid time off • Paid holidays • Professional development assistance • Career advancement opportunities Job responsibilities: Performs security officer duties and provides supervision to staff to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood, or similar disasters on assigned shifts. Essential duties: • Ensure the physical security of buildings, center vehicles, and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment. • Maintaining logs • Advise and train security officers in security procedures. • Assist in transporting students, and reporting and suppressing fires. • Act as liaison with neighboring law enforcement and fire agencies. • Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitor check-out and check-in proceedings by scheduling coverage. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent and two years experience. Supervisory experience preferred. • Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required. • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
