MAG Industries is growing and we are looking to add a driven and detail oriented Junior Accountant to our finance team. This role supports the Controller and plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial reporting, processing payments, and ensuring smooth day to day accounting operations. Location: Tyrone, PA Duties and Responsibilities: • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures for Controller review and approval • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records • Investigate and resolve discrepancies • Review transactions to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies • Create reports, conduct financial analysis, and provide performance insights • Support the month end close process including journal entries and accruals • Reconcile vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive company information • Responsibilities may evolve over time based on business needs Required Skills and Abilities: • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles • Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail • Understanding of compliance related to accounts payable including W9 requirements and sales tax • Ability to multi task in a deadline driven environment • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities • Ability to oversee three additional employees and support their daily tasks • Ability to sit for extended periods during the workday Education and Experience: • At least three years of experience in accounting roles • Degree in accounting preferred • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required • Experience with MS Office and accounting software Compensation and Benefits: • Medical, dental, vision, and life/AD&D insurance • Paid time off including six major holidays • 401k with company match EEO Statement: MAG Industries is an equal opportunity employer, committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants for employment.
