Staff Accountant Location: Western Suburbs of Chicago (Hybrid – approx. 2–3 days per month onsite) Reports To: Accounting Manager Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role is responsible for the transactional side of accounting, including month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. Key Responsibilities • Perform monthly close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Assist with monthly variance analysis and support forecasting needs • Assist with special projects, process improvements, and reporting enhancements Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 1+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close duties • Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Work Environment & Schedule This is a hybrid role requiring 2–3 days per month onsite in the western Chicago suburbs. The remainder of the work may be performed remotely within the state of Illinois. Compensation Salary Range: $60,000 to $72,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for an annual merit increase and incentive bonus.
