Department MAC Med/Surg 4W Daily Work Times 7a-730p Shift : Days Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 72 Benefits • 403(b) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Position Summary Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through: Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities. Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural spiritual preferences. Responsibilities • Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals. • Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families. • Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising. • Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA. • Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols. • Performs other related job duties as requested. Required • High School Diploma or equivalent • Formal education or training in a medical careers program OR enrollment in nursing school OR two or more years’ experience in a Patient Care Associate/Nurse Assistant role • BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date Preferred • State Certified Nursing Assistant • Basic EMT Certification • LPN License If you have questions about this posting, please contact support@lensa.com
