You will assist potential clients in finding the best solutions for their research needs and respond to warm sales leads to sell company services. Additionally, you will establish and maintain relationships with potential clients and contribute to the sales team's goals.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in professional or consulting services, and a flexible schedule. Experience with CRM, excellent communication skills, and an interest in genealogy are also important.
**This position will be open until January 1, 2026.** We at Legacy Tree Genealogists love helping people all over the world (in over 50 countries!) discover their heritage. We get up in the morning and do things like tell a client her birth father’s name, connect cousins in China, and share documentation that an ancestor used an alias and actually fathered two families – at the same time, in two different countries. For almost 20 years we’ve been changing people’s lives forever by answering some of their deepest questions. Here’s a little about what life here will be like: Live Where You Want Legacy Tree has always been a remote-based company, which allows us to hire the best talent anywhere, and which allows our team members to be where they love. As long as you have a quiet place to work, a flexible schedule, and fast internet in your location, that’s all that matters. For this position you must be located in the United States and it works best if you're in the Mountain time zone, but if you're super flexible then we can work with different time zones as well. Have a lot of Flexibility Weekly Hours: The expected hours are 10 – 15 hours per week to start (you will not be clocked in during the entire shifts listed below - only while actively working). Availability Requirements: You must be available at the following times: Thursday: 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. (working leads that came in starting at midnight the night before) Friday: 12 a.m. – 1 p.m. (work in business hours) Friday: 6 p.m. – 12 a.m. (work Saturday am before noon) What You’ll Be Doing: Responding to leads that came in during the listed times. You should also be willing to pick up extra shifts when other team members are out sick or on vacation, and/or when the workload increases. In addition to your scheduled shifts, you’ll be expected to check your voicemail and email on ALL business days to stay in contact with leads who reach out to you, as well as attend a monthly department meeting (currently held at 9am the first Wednesday of each month) and quarterly full staff meetings (currently held on Thursdays at 10am). You will be working warm leads and paid an hourly rate plus commission. Work with Great People We may be a remote company, but when you’re solving some of the toughest genealogy mysteries in the world, there’s a lot of cooperation that takes place. You’ll get to know your team members pretty darn well, and you’ll be grateful for their support when you have questions.
