The Role: Your Impact as an Accountant at Ledgers We’re looking for an experienced Accountant fluent in QuickBooks Online who can confidently manage day-to-day accounting for multiple clients, build strong, long-term relationships, and deliver accurate, timely financial data they can rely on. This role is perfect if you: • Enjoy hands-on transactional work (AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end, etc.) • Are comfortable with financial reporting and basic analysis and like turning numbers into clear, useful information for clients • Like being a go-to person for your clients and owning a portfolio of accounts • Enjoy improving processes and working with the team to make workflows more efficient and consistent • Naturally problem-solve, ask good questions, and love continuous learning in your craft • Value being part of a supportive, collaborative team where everyone rolls up their sleeves • Appreciate a hybrid schedule and the ability to work 25–40 hours/week depending on your preference How You’ll Make a Difference: Key Responsibilities • Maintain accurate financial records: You’ll handle day-to-day transactions, reconciliations, and bookkeeping tasks that ensure our clients always have clean, reliable data. • Own the month-end close process: You’ll prepare financial statements, perform basic variance analysis, and deliver timely reports that help clients understand their numbers and make informed decisions. • Communicate proactively with clients: You’ll answer questions, provide clarity, and guide clients through their financial activity with confidence, warmth, and professionalism. • Strengthen client relationships: You’ll serve as the consistent, trusted point of contact for your assigned portfolio, helping clients feel supported and cared for. • Collaborate closely with the Ledgers team: You’ll work alongside teammates to share knowledge, troubleshoot challenges, and keep work moving smoothly, especially during vacations, leave, or busy seasons. • Improve processes and workflows: You’ll help identify small inefficiencies and bring forward thoughtful suggestions that make our systems clearer, faster, and more consistent. • Support growth and special projects: As you build mastery, you may take on more complex clients, help review others’ work, or participate in cleanup projects and internal improvements. You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have… • Strong QuickBooks Online experience • 5+ years preferred of hands-on accounting experience • Solid understanding of GAAP basics • Experience with small businesses, restaurants, or non-profits • A genuine enjoyment of owning your work and helping clients feel supported • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information in straightforward language • Comfort juggling multiple clients and deadlines • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a desire to continue learning Nice-to-haves (but not required): • Experience in an outsourced accounting firm or multi-client environment • Experience reviewing or mentoring others • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience Schedule, Location & Flexibility • Hours: 25–40 hours/week (your choice — we hire for the right fit first) • Work style: Hybrid – primarily in-office Mondays-Thursdays with Flex Fridays • Team Culture: Warm, collaborative, and grounded in shared ownership of the work We’ll discuss the exact schedule and structure with you during the interview process.
