Full Description

Job Summary: We're looking for a hands-on AI engineering leader to design, build, and scale our Generative AI and multi-agent ecosystem. As Vice President, AI Engineering, you'll lead strategy and execution - architecting intelligent systems, coding alongside your team, and deploying multi-agent orchestration frameworks that drive real business impact. You'll work across LLMs, vector databases, orchestration platforms (n8n, LangChain, CrewAI), and AWS infrastructure to deliver scalable, production-ready AI systems. If you love building, experimenting, and shipping at the frontier of AI - this is your role. What You'll Do AI Strategy & Leadership • Define and execute the company's Generative AI and multi-agent roadmap, aligned with business goals. • Build and lead a cross-functional AI team. • Establish best practices for orchestration, observability, and governance across distributed AI systems. • Drive a builder culture of experimentation, collaboration, and rapid iteration. AI Architecture & Hands-On Execution • Architect, design, and personally build scalable AI systems and agents on AWS. • Develop multi-agent systems that collaborate, reason, and automate workflows using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or LlamaIndex. • Integrate and orchestrate agent interactions, automate task flows, and manage APIs. • Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and connect to vector databases. • Implement MLOps best practices - model training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization. • Write and review production-level code, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Product & Business Integration • Collaborate with product and business teams to identify high-ROI GenAI opportunities. • Translate complex business problems, especially in the U.S. mortgage space into AI agent-driven solutions. • Build reusable AI orchestration components for automation, insight generation, and decision support. • Advocate for responsible and explainable AI, promoting understanding and adoption across the company. What We're Looking For • 6-8 years of experience in AI/ML, software architecture, or data engineering. • Proven record of building and deploying Generative AI or LLM-based systems in production. • Strong hands-on experience with multi-agent architectures and orchestration tools like n8n, LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen. • Solid understanding of RAG pipelines, vector databases, and LLM evaluation. • Deep experience with AWS AI/ML stack. • Strong coding skills in Python, including integration with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Bedrock APIs. • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a bias for action and delivery. • A hands-on builder mindset - you design, code, and ship alongside your team. What Success Looks Like • AI roadmap and team structure established within 90 days. • First multi-agent orchestration system deployed in production within 6-9 months. • Scalable, secure AI infrastructure running reliably on AWS. • Measurable business impact through agent automation, data insights, and workflow optimization. • Strong cross-functional alignment with product, data, and operations. Why Join Us You'll be leading the next wave of Generative AI innovation defining how multi-agent systems and orchestration frameworks transform real-world workflows. If you're a technical leader who loves to build, thrives on experimentation, and believes in the power of AI to reimagine how work gets done - we'd love to talk. Note: Job duties involve the use of discretion and independent judgement.
