Conduct advanced analytics and statistical modeling to support pharmaceutical marketing strategies, including ROI and marketing mix analysis, and collaborate with marketing and sales teams.
Requires pharma trade business experience, proficiency in SQL, R, Python, statistical knowledge, and data visualization skills, with experience in inventory analytics and rebate modeling.
Note: This request is specifically looking for someone with experience in Pharma trade data analytics. If they do not have this experience they will not be considered. This role is 40hrs a week and ideally hybrid but the manager is also open to remote candidates Job Duties: • Business Analytics role supports multiple customer groups and/or therapeutic areas & will be an expert in statistical methodologies for measuring marketing impact, will have a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and a deep familiarity with industry data sources. The role requires using sophisticated analytics for projects including marketing mix modeling, ROI analyses on all relevant marketing programs/customer channels and promotional spends, customer profiling and segmentation, and predictive modeling. • Responsibilities include the conducting and interpretation of advance analytics to support decision making on promotional strategies and effectiveness (ROI and Marketing Mix analysis), support brand planning/field force evolution activities and serve as inputs to the forecasting process. Duties & Responsibilities: • Conduct advanced analytics to brand teams/customer channels in support of brand planning and promotional resource allocation, resource allocation in customer channels and evolution of commercial model. • Liaison between Marketing and Sales in the development of business tactics and strategies • Responsible for leading the development of targets and segments that are aligned with business strategy. • Responsible for executing departmental procedures and collaborating within the organization to ensure the marketing strategy is integrated into delivered sales force call plans. • Work with internal customers to assure that responsible analytical results are communicated and used effectively. • Build and share knowledge of analytical methodologies and high-quality vendors with others in the department. Establish work habits to support the therapeutic business function's evolving process and execution needs. Ideal Profile: • Located in EST time zone (preferred for long-term). • Experience in inventory analytics, rebate modeling, and pharma trade data. • Consultancy experience in pharma analytics. • Comfortable with coding and visualization tools. Key Responsibilities: • Work with EDI codes: • 849 – Inventory adjustments • 852 – Inventory activity report • 867 – Inventory movement & resale report • Data understanding is a basic thing. • Analyze inventory sales management, rebates, discounts, coverage, and insurance. • Build statistical analysis and data visualization dashboards. • Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and KPI deep dives. • Handle third-party pharma trade data (e.g., CVS as trade partner). • Familiarity with inventory management and rebate models. Required Skills • SQL, R, Python (data cleaning, summarization, statistical modeling). • Statistical knowledge (basic to intermediate). • Data visualization (Power BI, SAS, Databricks – willingness to learn). Domain: • Pharma trade business experience (non-negotiable). • Medical device experience acceptable.
