The Hartley Agency, a family-owned and operated Farmers Insurance agency with nearly 30 years of trusted Michigan roots, is growing and we're seeking an experienced, fully licensed Property & Casualty Sales Producer to join our remote team. This role is a hybrid remote and open to candidates who hold an active Michigan P&C license. You'll work with our Michigan-based leadership team while helping expand our agency's reach, serving clients virtually, and building our book of business with flexibility, autonomy, and full agency support. Salary Range: $35000.00 - $65000.00 per year Benefits Annual Base Salary + Commission + Bonus Opportunities Career Growth Opportunities Paid Time Off (PTO) Work from Home Flexible Schedule Hands on Training fun incentives Dental Insurance Responsibilities • Manage and grow a book of Michigan-based clients. • Quote, sell, and service auto, home, renters, and business insurance across multiple carriers. • Handle inbound and outbound leads via CRM, email, and virtual consultations. • Maintain excellent communication and retention through policy reviews and renewals. • Develop and execute a remote marketing and referral strategy to generate new business. • Collaborate with agency leadership on performance goals and regional growth. • Stay compliant with all Michigan and Farmers Insurance guidelines. Key Skills: Remote Sales, CRM Systems, P&C Insurance, Customer Retention, Relationship Management, Cross-Selling, Business Development, Time Management, Digital Communication, Michigan Market Knowledge Requirements • Active Michigan Property & Casualty License (Required) • 2+ years of insurance sales experience (personal or commercial lines). • Strong understanding of Farmers or multi-carrier quoting systems. • Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting. • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills. • Tech-savvy with CRM, quoting software, and virtual sales platforms. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred but not required: • Life & Health License (optional, can be obtained post-hire). • Prior Farmers or independent agency experience. • Familiarity with Michigan communities and client base.
