Bachelor's degree or equivalent 15+ years experience with minimum 5 years progressive sales growth to service centers, strong contract negotiation skills, ability to work with all customer levels, willingness to travel weekly, and residency in MI, OH, or IN.

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager-Great Lakes Region to join the Kaiser Aluminum team! The principal activity of this position is to expand and grow aluminum sales in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Western Pennsylvania, and Western New York. Expectation for general account management includes deploying both tactical & strategic initiatives. This includes the identification and cultivation of new target opportunities within existing service center and general engineering/industrial direct accounts. The candidate is expected to conduct all aspects of account management & sales prospecting role to ensure the volume, revenue, and profit objectives of the annual territory plan are met or exceeded utilizing value-based selling. The candidate is expected to have effective communication with Customer Service, Sales & Marketing Management, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Quality, Credit, and Advanced Engineering. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales - Service Centers and Strategic Accounts. This position will be located in either of the following states: Indiana, Michigan or Ohio only. Qualifications Top responsibilities include: * exceeding volume and revenue goals * strategic relationship building * contract negotiations and renewals * monthly forecasting input * weekly call reports / monthly territory reports * problem solving to drive overall customer satisfaction * product differentiation and training to drive profitable sales growth Required: * A bachelor’s degree or equivalent 15+ years of experience * Target of minimum five (5) years of progressive growth selling to service centers * Demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment requiring strategic relationship building * Skilled in contract negotiation and qualifying / disqualifying opportunities * Ability to work with all levels of the customers organization - from buyer to C Suite * Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Willingness to travel weekly * Must reside in Michigan, Ohio, or Indiana (relocation will not be available) Preferred: * Experience working for or selling to Metal Service Centers No third-party candidate submissions are being accepted at this time for this opening.
