Position Overview: The K&N OEM team is looking for a highly driven and meticulous Engineering Project Manager to join our Grand Prairie, TX office. This critical role leads the charge in ensuring successful product launches, from initial concept through production ramp-up. You will be the central point of coordination, managing schedules, design activities, and build efforts to meet our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer needs. Serving as the primary face of K&N, your responsibility is to consistently communicate with and exceed our customers' expectations and delivery requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee and manage 3-5+ projects from inception to completion with minimal oversight Independently communicates, manages and prioritizes design team deadlines to ensure schedule alignment Work with the engineering, manufacturing quality and purchasing teams to achieve the timing and deliverables of projects Work with Purchasing to plan/order components and raw materials based on project timelines Complete PPAP documentation for all OEM customers Create project plans and timelines as needed including length of programs and estimated volumes Closely monitor project progress and adjust as needed to ensure the overall goal stays on track Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, customers and suppliers Brings opportunities to optimize BOM and Development cost targets Qualifications Experience, Skills and Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree 7-10+ years of experience running fast paced OEM style development programs Experience with various 3D CAD software programs (SolidWorks preferred) Understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, DRBFM and root cause analysis process Must know the proper procedures for accurate and intelligent product testing Must know the theories and workings of automobile engine compartments Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs required Additional Qualities Necessary: Must be well organized and demonstrate the ability to simultaneously handle multiple duties, prioritize, follow through on all tasks and projects and meet pre-determined deadlines with limited supervision Ability to demonstrate excellent and proactive verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers and in a 1-on-1 or team situation Consistently demonstrate a positive company image to K&N OEM customers and suppliers Willingness to seek and/or attend training to keep knowledge and skills up to date and seek out and evaluate new technologies to maintain product dominance in the marketplace Automotive enthusiasm is a plus Additional Work Information: This position will be primarily onsite in Grand Prairie, TX This position will require approximately 10% travel This position will work a standard schedule, Monday-Friday We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
