Position Overview: The Sr. Director, Sales & Business Development is a key commercial leader responsible for driving significant revenue growth in K&N’s vehicle sales channels, primarily focused on the national retailer & Distribution channel through world-class sales execution and strategic business development leadership. This role expands K&N’s footprint through new store placements, expanded shelf space, deeper category penetration, and the introduction of new products and categories across retail and distribution partners. The Sr. Director leads the Sr. Channel Managers (National Retail & Distributors), while building and executing a structured Business Development engine that identifies emerging opportunities and accelerates K&N’s 3–5-year growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership – National Retail & Distributor Channels · Lead and develop the National Retail and Distributor Senior Channel Managers. · Deliver annual and long-range revenue targets across national retail chains and major distributors. · Drive store count expansion, shelf linear growth, and in-store product placement gains across all product categories. · Utilize POS insights and analytics to strengthen category performance and SKU productivity. · Oversee line reviews, promotional planning, quarterly business reviews and annual joint business planning with all top accounts. Strategic Business Development – Revenue Expansion & Channel Innovation · Develop a multi-year BD roadmap aligned with corporate growth priorities. · Identify and pursue new retail partners and emerging adjacent channels (powersports, farm & ranch, off-road, etc.). · Lead new product placement strategy within existing accounts to unlock new buys, adjacencies, and categories. · Create business cases and financial models for new channel entries and expansion opportunities. · Accelerate speed-to-market for emerging categories through collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Demand Planning. · Support commercialization of new and emerging product lines to broaden retailer category penetration. · Monitor industry trends, competitive shifts, and consumer demand patterns to inform channel strategy. · Ensure clean transition of BD opportunities into forecasting, inventory planning, and retail execution models. --- Qualifications & Experience: · 10+ years of sales leadership experience in automotive aftermarket or related industry. · Proven leadership in National Retailer and Distributor channel management. · Demonstrated success in both sales execution and business development. · Strong analytical capability with POS, forecasting, and category insights tools. · Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills. · Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
