Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and maintaining the foundational tools and infrastructure that support our development teams. This role is crucial for automating our environments, optimizing our CI/CD processes, and ensuring the smooth operation and governance of our core platforms. Key Responsibilities: Platform Administration: Design, build, configure, and maintain core development platforms, with a primary focus on administering and optimizing Jira for project management, workflow automation, and reporting. Configuration Management & Automation: Develop, test, and maintain robust Ansible Playbooks for automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments across development, staging, and production environments. Code Quality Governance: Integrate and administer code quality tools, specifically SonarQube, into the CI pipeline to enforce quality standards and track technical debt across all application codebases. Cloud Infrastructure: Assist in managing and maintaining infrastructure and services on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all platform configurations, automation scripts, and deployment procedures. Required Qualifications Platform Build-Out Experience: Proven experience in the end-to-end build-out, configuration, and administration of Jira for a medium-to-large organization, including advanced workflow customization, scheme management, and integration with other tools. Automation Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience developing, testing, and deploying complex Ansible Playbooks for configuration management and orchestration. Code Quality Integration: Direct experience integrating and administering SonarQube (or similar quality scanning tools) within CI workflows. Cloud Fundamentals: Foundational knowledge and practical experience working with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). Scripting: Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
