This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in Test I (Remote) in the United States. As a Software Engineer in Test I, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through automation, testing, and code validation. You will work closely with product owners and development teams to design, execute, and maintain automated tests, while continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. You will help shape the user experience by identifying defects early, ensuring smooth deployments, and supporting high-quality product releases. Collaboration, problem-solving, and attention to detail are critical to success in this fast-paced environment. \n Accountabilities Assist in the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software applications and test tools. Execute routine automation assignments with minimal supervision, following departmental procedures and standards. Design and implement white-box tests and automation scripts to validate application functionality. Develop estimates for assigned tasks and track time to improve accuracy in project planning. Perform code reviews and recommend improvements to applications and test frameworks. Communicate directly with product owners and end users to understand requirements and provide feedback. Support training and development initiatives for team members as needed. Monitor automated processes and ensure tasks run as expected, performing remediation when necessary. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience (high school diploma with relevant experience acceptable). Minimum 2 years of software test automation experience, including object-oriented development, relational databases, and SQL queries/stored procedures. Experience with software quality assurance procedures, relational database design, and web services. Proficiency in XSLT, XML, JSON, HTTP, C#, and SQL. Experience with Selenium WebDriver, APIs, or similar automation tools. Knowledge of software design patterns and automation frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail. Effective organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple assignments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate in a remote environment. Customer-focused mindset and ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Dynamics CRM, ASP.Net, VB.Net, or C#. Prior experience in software testing for consumer technology products.
