This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Remote NC) in the United States. The Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will manage networking, server, and security systems while providing Tier 3 support for escalated issues. This role requires close collaboration with business partners, DevOps teams, and cloud architects to optimize network performance, ensure operational readiness, and implement best practices. You will also contribute to disaster recovery planning, infrastructure improvement projects, and mentoring team members. Operating in a hybrid-remote environment, you must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while supporting continuous business growth and technical innovation. \n Accountabilities Provision, configure, and maintain systems, network devices, and security hardware/software across cloud and on-premises environments. Provide Tier 3 support for escalated service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and SLA compliance. Design, implement, and maintain hybrid connectivity between on-site and cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, Office 365). Configure and optimize network devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and WAN/LAN infrastructure. Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve network performance, security, and scalability. Support infrastructure-related projects, including acquisitions, upgrades, and integrations. Maintain accurate documentation and champion change management processes. Mentor team members and provide knowledge transfer to ensure technical proficiency across the team. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Azure Cloud systems/server engineering or network infrastructure. Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server administration. Strong scripting skills (PowerShell) and knowledge of IaaS/SaaS platforms. Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN). Knowledge of cloud security, VPCs, and disaster recovery strategies. Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, communicate effectively, and collaborate within a team. Certifications preferred: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Fundamentals, CCNP, Fortinet, Aruba, or CompTIA Network+.
