The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting with daily management tasks, overseeing sales activities, and maintaining operational standards. Responsibilities • Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and high customer satisfaction • Supervise and motivate team members, providing guidance on sales techniques, customer service, and operational procedures • Oversee inventory management, including stock control, merchandising, stocking, and purchasing to optimize product availability • Handle cashiering duties such as cash handling, POS transactions, and cashiering with accuracy and professionalism • Support employee orientation, training & development initiatives to foster a skilled and motivated workforce • Participate in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and assisting with onboarding processes • Manage scheduling shifts and ensure proper coverage during operating hours • Assist with marketing efforts to promote store products and services • Maintain organizational standards through effective merchandising and pricing strategies • Perform bookkeeping tasks including payroll processing, budgeting assistance, and inventory control • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards • Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly via phone etiquette or in-person interaction Requirements • Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles with supervisory responsibilities • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively • Excellent communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus • Proficiency in retail math, sales management, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures • Experience with merchandising, stocking, purchasing, marketing, and store management operations • Ability to handle administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and record keeping • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities • Customer service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills • Experience in training & development of staff members is preferred • Knowledge of retail sales techniques including pricing strategies and promotional activities • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and efficiency This role provides an excellent opportunity for career growth within the retail sector for candidates who are proactive leaders committed to excellence.
