Description Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler to support our operations by moving materials efficiently between departments and buildings. The ideal candidate will have forklift certification and experience handling materials in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. This role involves transporting materials, maintaining inventory flow, and ensuring work areas are organized and well-stocked. Key Responsibilities: • Move materials between departments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. • Dump chip hoppers and maintain outside lots, ensuring pallets are properly placed in hoppers. • Develop and follow an efficient route for material transport. • Replenish empty pallet buffers, cutter crates, and roller crate buffers. • Assist in moving large frames between buildings as needed. • Deliver materials from Inventory Control to Manufacturing Departments as requested. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Requirements Qualifications and Prior Experience: • Forklift Certification (Required). • Experience in material handling, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. • Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods of time. • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle tools, operate machines, and feel parts. • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed to access machinery and materials. • Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds without assistance; occasionally lift heavier items with mechanical or team assistance. • Tolerance for working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, coolant, and temperature variations. • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and hearing protection.
