Director, Brand Marketing Innersense Organic Beauty is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and creative Director of Brand Marketing to lead brand storytelling, guide new product launches, and elevate our presence across every touchpoint. This collaborative leader will help shape the brand narrative, bringing to life 360° campaigns and activations that deeply engage both our Pro and Consumer communities. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this individual will act as a unifying force across channels—translating brand purpose into breakthrough ideas that spark awareness, foster engagement, and nurture brand love. The ideal candidate is inspired by the consumer journey, attuned to cultural moments, and passionate about designing insight-driven campaigns that expand our impact across digital, retail, and professional distribution channels. Key Responsibilities • Drive brand marketing and annual global go-to-market plans across Pro and Consumer channels. • Lead new product launches from strategy through execution—owning positioning, messaging, and integrated launch plans that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion. • Develop and execute integrated 360° marketing campaigns that translate brand purpose into breakthrough storytelling, creative, and experiences. • Leverage deep audience and cultural insights to inform strategies, messaging, and content across platforms. • Partner with Digital, Creative, Education, Pro Sales, and Retail teams to ensure cohesive brand expression and channel-specific activation. • Oversee content strategy, public relations, and marketing communications, ensuring brand storytelling is consistent and emotionally resonant across all touchpoints. • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to concept, brief, and produce creative that elevates the brand and drives measurable impact. • Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize spend, engagement, and overall brand health. • Serve as a brand steward, maintaining alignment with Innersense’s mission, aesthetic, and voice. • Manage and mentor a small, but mighty marketing team; act as both player-coach and strategic leader. • Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience • 8+ years of experience in brand or product marketing, ideally within prestige beauty, pro hair care, or adjacent lifestyle categories. • Proven ability to drive go-to-market execution and successfully launch new products across omnichannel environments. • Deep understanding of target audiences, cultural, seasonal, and digital trends in hair care and beauty. • Strong marketing communications and content strategy expertise grounded in strategic communications and performance. • Exceptional storytelling, messaging, and creative briefing skills. • Experienced digital brand builder, fluent in social, influencer, and event marketing. • Demonstrated success as a people leader—able to inspire, coach, and develop teams. • Proven success connecting the dots between departments and managing projects from concept through completion. • Highly collaborative and solutions-oriented, with excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional partnership skills. • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset. • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. • Travel up to 30% of the time, as needed • Consumer-obsessed: You have a pulse on the audience, their motivations, and how to meaningfully connect. • Creative storyteller: You bring ideas to life with emotion, clarity, and purpose. • Strategic and analytical: You balance vision with performance, blending intuition and insight. • Collaborative leader: You thrive in partnership with others and foster a culture of curiosity and excellence. • Self-starter: You take initiative, own outcomes end-to-end, and execute with excellence. • Embody our corporate Mission, Vision & Values. • Proficient with AI marketing tools, Canva, Asana, Google G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc. • Experience working in a small but growing company environment is strongly preferred. This is a regular, full-time, salaried, in-office position located at our headquarters in Concord, California. Target Salary Based on Experience The standard range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000 per year, plus bonus. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and competitive bonus achievement.
