7+ years of Epic Orders certification and implementation experience, strong clinical documentation knowledge, and ability to configure Epic workflows.
The Epic Orders Analyst supports, builds, tests, and optimizes Epic Orders workflows across 13 state-operated healthcare facilities. This role ensures efficient, safe, and compliant orders management—covering CPOE, nursing orders, order sets, and ancillary integrations. The analyst partners with clinical, pharmacy, and ancillary teams to design and validate workflows and provide ongoing application support. Key Responsibilities • Build and configure Epic Orders workflows (CPOE, order sets, protocols, preference lists, decision support). • Gather and translate clinical/operational requirements into system functionality. • Perform system testing, integrated validation, and change management activities. • Troubleshoot issues via ServiceNow and escalate as needed. • Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and state policies. • Collaborate with other Epic module teams to maintain integrated workflows. • Participate in on-call rotation. Required Skills • Epic Orders certification — 7+ years • Epic implementation or operational support experience — 7+ years • Strong understanding of clinical documentation practices — 7+ years • Ability to translate workflow needs into Epic configuration — 7+ years • Highly desired: Epic Clin Doc or related certifications (5+ years) • Prior experience as an Epic Orders Analyst/Builder — 7+ years
