Office Bookkeeper - Small Manufacturing Company Location: Gurnee, Illinois About Us: We are a small, but growing, manufacturing company in Gurnee, IL. We are looking for a detail-oriented, flexible, and team-player Office Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate has a willingness to learn and grow with the company. The Office Bookkeeper is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, with a primary focus on accounts payable. This position ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and supports the overall financial health of the organization. This is a Full time position from Monday through Friday. 36 hours total with a half day on Fridays. RESPONSABILITIES Manage and process accounts payable (AP) transactions accurately and efficiently. Perform proper reconciliation techniques across accounts, including bank and ledger reconciliations. Follow up on accounts receivable from customers. Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices through various methods (e.g., checks, ACH, credit cards). Work with the general manager for monthly accounting statements. Handle confidential information with discretion. Coordinating payroll with an outside provider. Processing overseas/international shipping documents. Reporting to the general manager in a 2 person office space. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus! REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2-5+ years of bookkeeping experience strongly preferred. Have experience in basic accounting. Experience working with Sales Tax. Highly proficient skills in MS Excel and Word. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly. Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities. Proven ability to be adaptable to various competing demands. Experience using Accounts Edge Pro is a plus!
